This is the first time I am drinking this particular beverage, but I am not sure if it is the best choice if you are trying to get rid of that stubborn aches and pains or the best way to start off the day that is supposed to be one of the most exhilarating ones of the day.
I don’t know about you, but I’m always having a tough time getting up to my morning meeting at the coffee shop. I drink way too much coffee in the morning (which is good because coffee is good for you), but I also have to have a good excuse because I am always so tired. The problem is I tend to drink it all in the same cup, which is a huge pain in the ass.
I don’t know if I can blame it on my body or my mind. My mind has always been a bit of a problem. I have always been a bit of a night owl, so I tend to wake up late, and have a hard time getting back to sleep after I’ve had a few cups of coffee. The problem is that I can’t even seem to get myself to take my coffee to work.
The problem is that it takes a bit of a change in mindset to wake up. The idea is to have a cup of coffee in the morning and keep it going all day (or until the end of the day). That way you are not so tired that you cant get back to sleep. I recently read that you can actually drink coffee at work. It’s just that they don’t want to have to get up and walk across the room.
I am aware that in the UK, this is not the case. However, I have a friend who is a graphic designer who works for a large software company in New York. One day he was up until 0200 and had an all-nighter. I had to give him a ride, and it was the first time I had seen him so tired. He still got fired the next day.
I am aware that this is a bit of a controversial statement if you are used to drinking tea at work. I have tried it, and it was not enjoyable. However, I have also worked for a company where we were allowed to keep a bottle of wine on the premises. We even provided our own glasses. So, in the UK, you are allowed to keep a bottle of wine on your desk. However, you have to be a bit more careful when you drink from it.
So anyway, we have a bottle of red wine on our desk, and it’s almost impossible to get it to stay in its little bottle. So I drink from it, and I get a bit of head butting. I don’t mind; this is a rare occasion that brings me no pleasure. And I will be happy to see a bottle of wine on my desk again one day.
The same is true for cans or bottles of beer, and the same rules apply. However, there is one rule that the British seem to be forgetting and this one is that you shouldn’t drink from your bottle while using your computer. The same rules apply for your office chair, your dining room table, your desk, your microwave, your fridge, your car, your clothes, your computer’s keyboard, or any other object that’s in your immediate vicinity.
I think that most of us are guilty of this once a month, or maybe on a regular basis. We don’t take the time to learn our rules. If we do, we will often not be as diligent about them as we should be, or we may not even realize it. But the law isn’t written with the kind of care that it needs to be, so if we’re not careful, we could end up breaking it.
The best way to avoid this is to take the time to learn how to be a good steward of your objects. The law is there to be written, and if you put it off, you’ll have a bad time on your hands.
